A high-profile armed home invasion and carjacking occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the Cascade area, targeting Permanent Secretary Abigail Bynoe and her family. Four masked bandits, one armed with a gun and another with a knife, forced the victims into the house, where an elderly male relative was struck with the firearm. The criminals ransacked the home, stealing bank cards, identification, cash (including $1,000 TTD combined), an iPhone 14, a Nintendo Switch, a 75-inch TV, and property belonging to the Ministry of Trade before escaping in the Permanent Secretary's vehicle.
