A drive-by shooting occurred in the Couva area on the night of November 20, resulting in injuries to a 61-year-old woman. The victim was sitting with a male companion when a silver Nissan Tiida drove up, and two passengers opened fire before speeding away. The woman was struck by a bullet and was later taken to the hospital. Police recovered ten spent nine-millimetre shells at the scene as part of their investigation into the shooting.
