Johnson Street, Gasparillo, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

Eight rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered at a residence on Johnson Street, Gasparillo during a police anti-crime exercise on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Officers conducted searches at several locations within the Gasparillo Police District between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., acting on intelligence and in accordance with Section 12 of the Emergency Powers Regulations. A 16-year-old and 17-year-old, both of Johnson Street, Gasparillo, were arrested for enquiries into possession of ammunition. The ammunition seizure is part of an ongoing investigation into home invasion and house-breaking incidents within the district.
