Fishing Pond RoadShotgun & Ammunition Seized During Eastern Division Operation

Fishing Pond Road, Sangre Grande Oropuche , Sangre Grande

Members of the Eastern Division Gang Intelligence Unit conducted a surveillance exercise between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, in the Eastern Division. Officers proceeded to Fishing Pond Road, where they observed a man exiting a forested area armed with a shotgun. Upon being identified and called out to by officers, the suspect immediately dropped the firearm and fled into the forest. A search of the area recovered a shotgun and five rounds of ammunition; the suspect remains at large.
