A woman withdrew a large sum of cash from Republic Bank at Valpark Shopping Plaza on Thursday, June 25, 2026, and took deliberate precautions to avoid being followed, including using a different exit route and checking for suspicious vehicles. Within minutes, thieves smashed a rear window of her vehicle and fled with the laptop bag containing the cash before she returned. Report a Crime

Safe Haven Status — Golconda

Risk Level: 2.3/10· Primary Concern: Robbery

Vehicle Safety as a Habit: Most vehicle-related robberies are opportunistic — a car with a visible bag and an unlocked door is a target even in safe areas. Keeping windows up and doing a quick scan before exiting costs nothing and maintains the safety standard your neighbourhood has built.

Property Stability Win: Residential property crimes remain significantly below the municipal average here, suggesting a high standard of home security and neighborly vigilance.
