BaratariaCable Thieves Steal $53,000 Worth of Electrical Wire from Police Credit Union

Tenth Street, Barataria — Police Credit Union compound, Barataria, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

Approximately $53,000 worth of electrical cable was stolen from an unoccupied compound owned by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Credit Union on Tenth Street, Barataria on July 5, 2026. Two men were observed leaving the compound carrying a quantity of electrical cable, prompting officials to investigate. Upon arrival, Credit Union representatives discovered that approximately 60 feet of black 4x95mm² electrical cable had been removed from a panel box on the eastern side of the compound. The cable was removed without authorization, and police are investigating the theft. No arrests have been made.
