Three armed gunmen robbed the Life Care Medical and Dental Centre in San Juan on Wednesday evening at approximately 5:20 p.m., targeting two doctors and a patient while two adults holding babies were present in the clinic. One suspect entered posing as a patient; a second armed man pulled a firearm during the examination, announced the robbery, and used plastic tie straps to restrain the first doctor, stealing his 24-karat gold chain valued at approximately TT$30,000. A second doctor who responded to screams was confronted, ordered into another room, and tied up; a 36-year-old patient was robbed of his Samsung A26 cellphone and also restrained. The gunmen escaped with US$20,000 and TT$40,000 from a desk drawer in the doctor's office before police arrived. Officers from the San Juan Police Station have launched an investigation to identify and arrest the three suspects responsible for the robbery.
