A jewellery store owner was robbed of TT$120,000, US$3,000, and jewellery at her El Socorro, San Juan home on Monday afternoon around 2:55 p.m. Three armed men in a white Nissan Tiida reversed into her yard as she parked; one gunman pointed a firearm at the victim while the assailants ripped two gold chains from her neck and a diamond bracelet from her wrist. The bandits forced her into her apartment and stole $20,000 from her handbag, $100,000 from a bedside table in her bedroom, and US$3,000 in cash. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim reported the incident to officers at the San Juan Police Station; police are investigating the robbery and searching for the three suspects. No arrests have been made.
