A Church's Chicken outlet at Rituals & Churches Compound, Tacarigua was burglarised early Wednesday morning, July 8, 2026, with thieves stealing $5,000 in cash from a safe in the office. Employees had secured the restaurant shortly after midnight, and around 4:20 a.m. a Security Company alerted the informant that the alarm system had been triggered. Estate Constable and police arrived at the location and discovered the front double glass doors had been forced open. Officers from the Arouca Criminal Investigations Department and the Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded and conducted enquiries; investigations are continuing.
