Venezuelan worker stabbed during armed robbery in Tacarigua (Williams Castillo)

Orange Grove Road (South) / Priority Bus Route, Tacarigua, Tunapuna - Piarco

Williams Castillo, a Venezuelan national, was attacked by two young men armed with knives while waiting for transportation along the Priority Bus Route in Tacarigua on Tuesday night after leaving the Orange Grove Road (South) industrial area where he worked a late shift. The assailants robbed Castillo and stabbed him in the chest, puncturing his lung. He was hospitalised in serious condition. Commuters report the suspects or similar individuals frequently target workers around 10 p.m. in the area, indicating a pattern of armed robberies along the route.
