A 69-year-old Cascade woman was robbed and injured at the Massy Stores car park in Trincity on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at approximately 1:35 p.m. when a man grabbed her multicoloured handbag from her shoulder as she exited her vehicle. The victim resisted and a struggle ensued, during which she was pulled to the ground, sustaining injuries to her left hip and elbow. The suspect fled the scene with the handbag containing a Samsung cellphone, identification card, driver's permit, several bank cards, and TT$250 in cash. The suspect escaped in a black Nissan X-Trail heading west. Police investigations are continuing.
