A 33-year-old businesswoman was robbed at her Evelyn Trace home in El Socorro on Saturday when three gunmen of African descent exited a white Nissan Tida (PDG 4979) as she arrived. The men forcibly removed two gold chains and a diamond bracelet from her person, then took her handbag containing $3,000 USD and $20,000 TTD. The gunmen then forced her into her apartment and stole an additional $100,000 cash and an assortment of valuable jewellery before fleeing in the vehicle. Police are investigating the incident; the vehicle registration and suspect descriptions have been documented for the investigation.
