Akeil Packet, also known as 'Shaka,' was shot and killed on Thursday, July 16, 2026, while at his shop along Railway Road, Siparia. A female was also shot and injured during the attack. The vehicle believed to have been used by the gunmen was later found abandoned along Coora Road, Siparia, and has since been seized as part of the investigation. Police are investigating whether the killing is linked to an escalating drug turf dispute in the Siparia district. This murder comes less than a month after Akeil's brother, 39-year-old Osei Packet, also known as 'Danqua,' was shot and killed in a separate incident at Taylor Avenue, Quinam Road, Siparia.
