Businessman beaten, family terrorised in Cunupia home invasion

Warren Munroe Road, Cunupia, Warren, Tunapuna - Piarco

Four members of a Cunupia family who own a tyre shop were targeted by three armed men during a home invasion on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, around 7:50 a.m. at their Warren Munroe Road residence. The suspects forced entry, announced a robbery, and ransacked the home, stealing cash ($20,900 TT and US $1,200), cellphones, designer watches valued between $1,200-$2,200 each, alcohol (four bottles of Johnny Walker Gold, two bottles of Hennessy, one bottle of Johnny Walker Ruby), jewelry, and a Toyota Fielder wagon valued at $120,000. The head of the household was physically assaulted during the robbery. The suspects fled in the stolen vehicle, which was later recovered intact by police (PC Gaskin and PC Ramsaroop of Cunupia CID) from a farm road off Ajim Ali Street.
