CunupiaFather Accused of Stabbing WPC Daughter in Attempted Murder

Southern Main Road, Cunupia, Warren, Tunapuna - Piarco

John Lewis, 72, of Southern Main Road, Cunupia, is accused of attempting to murder his daughter Khalia Lewis, a police officer, on March 28 while intoxicated. Lewis allegedly stabbed his daughter with the intention of killing her during an incident at their shared residence. Lewis appeared before Master Rhea Libert on April 8 and was remanded for psychiatric evaluation at St Ann's Psychiatric Hospital. The matter has been adjourned to July 9 for a status hearing.
