New Grant man robbed of SUV, cash and phone in Beetham iPhone setup

Main Street, Beetham Gardens, near the Pensioners Quarters, Port of Spain

Around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, a man from New Grant and his male co-worker drove to Main Street, Beetham Gardens to purchase an iPhone 12 Pro. They were ambushed by four male suspects, one armed with a firearm, who announced a robbery. The gunman forcibly dragged the victim from his grey Kia Sportage SUV (valued at $95,000), separating him from his co-worker. The victim was taken to a nearby structure where he was robbed of his personal white iPhone SE (valued at $1,200) and $4,000 in cash. The suspects fled west along Main Street in the stolen SUV. The victim was left traumatised by the brazen daylight robbery.
