Three Chinese nationals aged 20, 49, and 49 were asleep at E-Day Supermarket on Wilson Road, Scarborough when they were awakened by loud banging on a door around 2 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025. Approximately six armed men wielding cutlasses entered the bedroom area, demanded cash, and chopped the victims about their bodies, causing injuries. The assailants stole TT$200,000 and US$15,000 in cash before fleeing through a southern door. Police were notified and all three victims were treated at Scarborough General Hospital and discharged.
