A 41-year-old Morvant rideshare driver was robbed and carjacked on Fondes Amandes Road, St. Ann's on Saturday, July 12, 2025 around 10:20 p.m. after responding to a bogus pickup request via the Rideshare app. Two armed men approached the driver, announced a robbery, tied him up, and transported him to La Seiva, Maraval, where they stole his brown Suzuki Ertiga (valued at $180,700 TTD), $300 cash, his green Samsung A55 cellphone, wallet containing ID, driver's permit, and bank cards. The victim was left stranded at the secondary location. Police are investigating the incident.
