ArimaMan Chopped in Head During Cutlass Attack on Pinto Road

Pinto Road, Mottley Trace, Arima

Kerwyn Coutou, 40, was attacked with a cutlass along Pinto Road, Arima on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 around 10:00 p.m. while walking east along Mottley Trace with his sister. A man known to the victim emerged from behind an abandoned structure armed with a cutlass and attacked Coutou without warning, chopping him multiple times in the head and right ear before fleeing the scene. The victim's sister raised an alarm as the suspect fled. Officers from the Northern Division Task Force North responded and rushed Coutou to the hospital, where he was treated for serious chop wounds to the head and right ear; he remains in serious condition.
