A resident of The Crossings, Arima was victimized during a home invasion in the early hours of February 2, 2026, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Four masked intruders entered the victim's bedroom while he slept, with one demanding keys to his safe. The victim, fearing for his life, complied and handed over the keys. The assailants then tied his hands and feet, ransacked the bedroom, and fled with approximately $70,000 TTD, $4,000 USD, €1,000, several watches, two gold-colored ID bands, one gold-colored bera, a gold-colored Spanish link chain, and additional cash ($500 USD and $1,000 TTD) from a drawer. After freeing himself, the victim discovered the safe had been emptied and reported the incident to police.
