Man shot in foot during bar altercation (Dominic John, 31)

Fitt Street Bar, Woodbrook, Port of Spain

Dominic John, 31, of Morvant, was shot in the left foot during a violent altercation at the Fitt Street Bar in Woodbrook on February 2, 2026, at approximately 3:50 a.m. A fight broke out inside the bar involving multiple people, during which an armed man opened fire. John was struck by a gunshot as he attempted to leave the premises. He was initially treated at St. James Infirmary before being transferred to Port of Spain General Hospital for further medical care. Crime scene officers recovered one shell casing from the scene, though CCTV footage was unavailable due to non-functional cameras.
