An 82-year-old pensioner was robbed and assaulted at her home on Manahambre Road, Princes Town, on Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:40 p.m. Three masked men entered her house and announced a robbery, then ransacked one room of the residence. One suspect forcefully grabbed the woman's handbag and pulled it away, causing the elderly pensioner to fall to the ground during the struggle. The handbag contained her national identification card, Republic Bank card, $230 in cash, and a silver chain. The three suspects fled through the open front door with the stolen handbag. Police have provided descriptions of all three suspects and are investigating the incident.
