Brazen robbery with violence on Lime Head Road (36-year-old male, 32-year-old female)

Lime Head Road, Chase Village, Chase Village, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A 36-year-old man and 32-year-old woman from Nolan Street, Felicity, were driving along Lime Head Road, Chase Village on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at approximately 10:40 a.m. when their vehicle was suddenly blocked by another car. Two men emerged from the blocking vehicle and confronted the occupants, with one assailant armed with a knife pressing the weapon to the driver's neck and threatening to kill him. During the violent ordeal, the second suspect reached into the vehicle and stole a Samsung A16 cellular phone valued at $2,000 and $1,000 in cash from inside the phone case. The suspects then fled the scene in their vehicle. Following the report, police launched an investigation that led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man from Connector Road, Carlsen Field in connection with the incident.
