A 28-year-old US citizen was robbed of a gold Cuban link chain valued at US $20,000 at his home in Chaguanas on Friday morning around 11:40 a.m. The victim had just returned from grocery shopping when two men approached him in the garage area, announced a robbery, and forcefully removed the chain. The victim fought back and was beaten by the suspects before they fled the scene in a silver Nissan Note. Both suspects were described as men of African descent, slim-built, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall; one wore a blue jersey and short pants, the other a black jersey and short pants. Police are investigating; no arrests have been made.
