A 15-year-old teenager was stabbed in the head during a fight at the National Care and Empowerment Centre along Dindial Road, Piparo on Saturday, March 14, 2026 around 10 p.m. The victim became involved in an argument with a 16-year-old boy inside one of the facility's rooms. The dispute escalated into a physical fight during which the 16-year-old allegedly armed himself with a knife and stabbed the victim in the head. Security officers and care staff intervened immediately and assisted the injured teen until Emergency Medical Technicians arrived. The victim was transported by ambulance to San Fernando General Hospital, treated, and later discharged. Officers from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Princes Town CID responded, interviewed staff, and launched an investigation. Enquiries are ongoing.
