Armed robbery of couple — cash, phones, and food stolen (Arima)

Andrew Lane, Arima, D'Abadie , Tunapuna - Piarco

Two young people were robbed at gunpoint on Andrew Lane, D'Abadie, Arima on Monday evening around 7:30 p.m. Four armed men emerged from the bushes, confronted the victims, and announced a robbery. The assailants stole a grey side bag containing a phone, wallet, and cash, and a brown tote bag containing another phone, ID, debit cards, and additional cash. They also seized the victims' takeaway meals: a box of chicken tenders and fries and a box of barbecue chicken and fries (each valued at $60 TTD). The suspects fled through the bushes. Police are investigating; no arrests have been made.
