The home of murdered businessman Danny Guerra at North Oropouche Road was broken into and ransacked sometime between March 17 and Sunday, March 23. A caretaker discovered around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday that a window on the side of the house had been forced open, with the burglar-proofing cut and pried apart. The living room, kitchen and four bedrooms had been ransacked. Missing were a quantity of gold jewellery belonging to Guerra's wife (aged 44) and Guerra, along with TT$4,000 and approximately US$300 in cash. The value of the jewellery is still being assessed. Police said entry was gained through the window, and investigators believe the intruder exited the same way. Crime scene investigators processed the scene and recovered finger evidence.
