Supermarket robbed; employee assaulted with gun butt

Mega Savings Supermarket, St. Augustine, Tunapuna, Tunapuna - Piarco

Three armed suspects stormed Mega Savings Supermarket in St. Augustine on Sunday, March 22, 2026, and stole approximately $12,000 in cash and a quantity of cigarettes. During the robbery, one female employee was struck repeatedly on the head with a gun butt, leaving her injured and shaken. The suspects fled the scene in the stolen black Nissan Note, which was later abandoned off Noel Trace, St. John's Road in St. Augustine.
