Wooden house destroyed in suspected arson attack (San Fernando)

A wooden house at Sutton Street, San Fernando, was destroyed by fire on Saturday afternoon, with three nearby homes damaged. The blaze broke out approximately one hour after a police raid was conducted at the property around 4 pm. A man who operated a small food cart on the property lost everything in the fire, including the cart and its equipment. A police source denied any involvement in the fire, stating that while illicit activities had been reported at the location and a raid was carried out, officers did not set the building ablaze. The occupants of the house were on holiday at the time. Police are investigating; no arrests have been made.
