Male victim (46) beaten and carjacked by trio in Diego Martin

Cemetery Street, Diego Martin

A 46-year-old man was carjacked and robbed after providing a ride to a man claiming to be stranded in downtown Port of Spain around 3:40 a.m. Upon reaching the requested destination at Cemetery Street, Diego Martin, the suspect placed the driver in a headlock and forced him to continue driving. Two additional accomplices then entered the vehicle, assaulted the driver, and robbed him of $2,000 in cash, three cellular phones, and other personal belongings. The assailants then pushed the victim out of his silver Toyota Fielder Wagon and escaped in the vehicle.
