Police seize loaded .357 revolver and ammunition during Tarouba patrol; 3 robbery suspects detained

Tarouba (mobile patrol area), Union , Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

Police officers from the Marabella Enquiries Unit (PC Hosein, PC Ramsaran, and PC Soodeen) conducted a mobile patrol along Tarouba on Friday, March 27th, 2026 around 10:00 p.m. and stopped a black Nissan Sylphy with five occupants for search and inspection. During the search, officers recovered a .357 revolver loaded with six rounds of 40 calibre ammunition from the vehicle. Further checks revealed that three of the five occupants were wanted for outstanding robbery matters in the Southern Division. All five occupants were held pending further investigation.
