Teen stabbed multiple times in San Juan altercation (Akiel Truman, 18)

Pashley Street and the priority bus route, Port of Spain

Akiel Truman, 18, of El Socorro, was stabbed multiple times during an altercation with a man known as Jalani on Sunday morning, March 29, 2026. Truman was discovered lying along the roadway near Pashley Street and the priority bus route shortly before midday with visible injuries and blood about his body. Officers of the inter-agency task force spotted him motionless, rendered assistance, and rushed him to Port of Spain General Hospital for treatment. Truman told police he had been involved in an altercation with Jalani, who allegedly stabbed him several times.
