Oropouche Road, R&S Minimart (vegetable stall), South Oropouche , Siparia

A 48-year-old proprietress was assaulted and robbed at her vegetable stall, R&S Minimart, on Oropouche Road, St. Mary's Village on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at approximately 1:10 p.m. A man armed with a piece of wood announced a robbery; during the scuffle, he struck the woman several times and stole a gold "OM" pendant and approximately TT$800 in cash from the sales counter. The victim removed the suspect's bandana during the struggle, identifying him as the son of a man known as "Reds." The suspect fled on foot along a private road behind the minimart in a southwesterly direction. Police investigation ongoing.
