Byron Maharaj, 53, was fatally stabbed and robbed by two men while asleep in his vehicle parked outside Mambos Bar on South Bank Road, Kelly Village, Caroni. CCTV footage captured the moment the two suspects approached Maharaj's car and attacked him, stabbing him fatally and robbing him inside the vehicle. Maharaj, a resident of La Solita Road, was discovered slumped in the driver's seat around 6 a.m. on Monday morning. Police initially suspected the murder resulted from a bar altercation but now believe it was a targeted robbery-homicide. The suspects remain at large and police are investigating the incident.
