ValenciaFather Shaun Charles (49) Shot Dead, Wife Wounded in Home Attack

Emon Lane, Valencia, Sangre Grande

Shaun Charles, 49, was fatally shot inside his home on Emon Lane, Valencia around 3:30 AM on Monday. His wife, Clarissa James, 40, was also struck by gunfire during the attack and was hospitalised in stable condition. The couple and their two children were asleep when gunmen opened fire on the residence. Both victims were found with gunshot wounds to their backs; the children were unharmed. Homicide officers recovered multiple 9mm shell casings at the scene. Investigators from the Arouca Bureau, Region Two, are continuing inquiries into the motive and identity of the attackers.
