A 51-year-old man of Jacksingh Street, Woodland reported that excavator parts valued at $17,500 were removed from his 320 CL Excavator at Maitland Trace, Basse Terre, Moruga on April 8th. The stolen items included a turbo, fuel pump, turbo manifold and approximately 12 feet of track. The victim discovered some of the missing items on La Fortune Trace on April 9th. Police enquiries led by PC Dookeran resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect from La Fortune Trace, and officers recovered an excavator turbo and sections of track. The accused, Jehu Buchoon, pleaded guilty before the South AJIPA Court and was granted $55,000 bail with surety.
