A 37-year-old Tunapuna man was targeted in a shooting incident on Stratham Lodge Road early Sunday morning around 12:30 a.m. on May 19. The man had just left the NP Gas Station in St Augustine after refueling his vehicle when he heard loud explosions believed to be gunshots and immediately drove away from the area. The victim narrowly escaped injury during the incident. A subsequent inspection of his vehicle revealed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the rear bumper, confirming that shots had been fired at the vehicle. Police are investigating the shooting incident. The victim reported the matter to Tunapuna Police Station and authorities are working to determine the motive and identify the shooter.
