An alleged intruder attempted to break into a home in Carnbee early Sunday morning, June 1st, 2025, around 3:20 a.m. The homeowner, a 40-year-old businessman and licensed firearm holder, was alerted by noise outside and observed a man climbing over a barrier at the entrance to his property. The suspect was described as strongly built, dark brown in complexion, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a T-shirt wrapped around his head and face. Fearing for his life and that of his family, the homeowner raised an alarm as the intruder continued to advance toward the house. The homeowner discharged one round from his licensed firearm, causing the suspect to immediately retreat from the property. Crime Scene Investigators, along with officers from Shirvan Road Police Station and Divisional CID, attended and processed the scene. The incident was reported to Shirvan Road Police Station.
