A 28-year-old unemployed man known to police reported a shooting incident at his wooden home in Sobo Village, La Brea on May 30, 2025. According to his account, around 3:00 a.m., he was asleep when he heard loud banging outside and observed three unidentified men in his yard. The victim heard three loud gunshots fired at his residence. The man immediately jumped through a window and fled into nearby bushes to escape the gunfire. He narrowly avoided injury during the ambush. Police responded after the victim contacted La Brea Police Station around 8:40 a.m. to report the shooting incident. The investigation is ongoing, with the identities of the three gunmen unknown.
