Man slashed during attack at Princes Town home (Emmanuel Blades, 37)

Emmanuel Blades, a 37-year-old labourer, was attacked by two men outside his unfenced home in St. Julien Village on Monday, June 2nd, 2025 around 8:40 p.m. while seated in his gallery area. A struggle ensued between Blades and one of the suspects, during which Blades managed to pull off the attacker's mask and identified him as a man known as 'Halfers' from Maingot Road, St. Julien Village. Shortly after the struggle, Blades heard several loud explosions and felt a burning sensation to his face, shoulder, and back, indicating he had been slashed with a sharp object. The two suspects then fled the scene on foot. Blades sought assistance from a neighbor who contacted police. He was transported to Princes Town District Health Facility by CID officers and later transferred to San Fernando General Hospital for further treatment. Medical doctors confirmed his injuries were inflicted with a sharp object.
