$342,000 Jewelry Heist in Princes Town: Clerk Assaulted and Bound During Brazen Store Robbery

A violent armed robbery took place at Ian Jewellery Shop, Maingot Road, St Julien Road, Princes Town, at approximately 9:00 a.m.

A violent armed robbery took place at Ian Jewellery Shop, Maingot Road, St Julien Road, Princes Town, at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Two armed men entered the establishment and accosted a 31-year-old sales clerk, slapping her multiple times before tying her hands and feet. The suspects stole over $342,000 TTD worth of jewelry and gold, including a gold bera valued at over $50,000, diamond rings, and 80 grams of scrap gold. The assailants fled the scene in a black Nissan Tiida along the Naparima Mayaro Road. The victim was subsequently treated for her injuries at the Princes Town Health Facility.
