A 45-year-old shop owner of A&D Minimart on Matilda Road, Princes Town was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday evening around 5:50 p.m. Two masked men dressed in black hoodies, black pants, ski masks, and gloves entered through an open eastern doorway, announced a robbery, and ordered the proprietor into another room. The suspects took four packs of LM cigarettes valued at $128, $450 in cash from a cash box, and $3,681 from an NLCB Lotto machine, totalling $4,259 in cash and merchandise. The men escaped on foot through the same doorway and fled in an unknown direction. Officers from the Princes Town Criminal Investigations Department responded and conducted enquiries at the scene. Investigations are continuing.
