LongdenvillePolice Officer Shot in Early Morning Ambush on Lamont Street

Lamont Street, Longdenville, Enterprise, Chaguanas

A police officer was shot in the arm during an early morning ambush on Lamont Street, Longdenville around 2:25 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5th. An occupant of a black Mitsubishi Lancer pulled out a firearm and opened fire on the officer as the vehicle passed. Fellow officers responded quickly and transported the wounded officer to Chaguanas Health Facility for medical treatment. The suspects fled the scene in the vehicle in an unknown direction. Police issued an all-points bulletin, but no arrests have been made.
