Three men were injured in a shooting attack in Chatham, Point Fortin, on the night of December 10, 2025. Around 42-year-old labourer of Belleview Road, a 35-year-old driller of Chatham Beach Road, and a 41-year-old labourer of Iros Forest were liming near the Chatham Junction when they heard multiple loud explosions. The 42-year-old victim received six gunshot injuries to his lower back, abdomen, and buttocks and was left in critical condition, requiring emergency surgery. The driller (35) was shot in his left hand, and the Iros Forest labourer (41) was shot in his left leg; the driller was later discharged. Police investigations are ongoing, and 12 spent nine-millimetre shells were recovered at the scene.
