Samuel Johnson, 22 years old, was shot and killed outside a wake at Ragoo Drive, Waterwheel, Diego Martin on Monday, June 9, 2025 around 10:20 PM. Johnson was socializing with a group outside the wake when an armed gunman approached and fired several shots, striking him fatally. Occupants of a beige Nissan Almera transported Johnson to St. James Medical Complex, where he was declared dead upon arrival. Fourteen spent 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene by police. Police responded to reports of loud explosions at the location and escorted the vehicle to the medical facility. Investigations are ongoing to identify the gunman and determine the motive for the shooting.
