Claxton Bay19-Year-Old Arrested with 1.12kg Cocaine by Home Invasion Team

Trainline Road, Claxton Bay, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A 19-year-old unemployed man from Trainline Road, Claxton Bay was apprehended by the Home Invasion Team (N.S.O.U) around 7:20 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2026 with one block of cocaine weighing 1.12 kilograms in his possession. Members of the H.I.T, supervised by Sergeant Junior Singh and Sergeant Renaldo Reviero, were conducting surveillance in the area bordering the Gulf of Paria in coordination with the CDTF when they observed the suspect. Upon seeing the officers, the man attempted to flee but was apprehended by the coordinated team. The cocaine was recovered from the suspect's person during the arrest. The operation was spearheaded by ACP Richard Smith and ASP St. Clair.
