PenalFour Masked Men Beat Sisters (40, 57) and Teen Nephew in Two-Hour Home Invasion

Penal Area (specific street address not provided), Penal, Penal - Debe

Two sisters, ages 40 and 57, and their 14-year-old nephew were brutally beaten during a nearly two-hour home invasion in Penal on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2026. Four masked men armed with cutlasses forced entry into the home around 11:30 PM, bound the victims with duct tape, and demanded $450,000 they believed the older sister had obtained from work. The attackers beat the victims repeatedly with cutlasses, broomsticks, and picture frames; the nephew was kicked in the head and suffered severe injuries. One attacker held a gun to the older sister's head and threatened to shoot all three victims, saying "tonight you all will die." During the invasion, the bandits ransacked the house, poisoned the family's five-year-old Husky and a neighbour's dog, and stole approximately $50,000 in cash and jewellery, mobile phones, and a Nissan B15 vehicle. Police recovered the stolen vehicle at Haggard Trace, Penal Rock Road. Investigations are ongoing; no arrests have been made.
