CascadeTemporary Worker Vanishes With $3,514 From NLCB Booth

Cascade Road, NLCB booth (Massy Stores), Port of Spain

A temporary worker hired for a one-day job at an NLCB booth on Cascade Road, St Ann's allegedly disappeared with $3,514 in cash on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The worker, a woman recommended to the victim (an agent attached to Massy Stores), began duties around 8:00 a.m. at the booth. Around 2:10 p.m., the supervisor returned to find the booth locked and the worker missing. When attempts were made to contact her, she later claimed she had an emergency and had to leave. Upon checking the day's takings, $3,514 in cash was discovered missing. The victim confirmed no permission was given for anyone to take the money. Police are investigating the suspected larceny; the worker's whereabouts remain unknown.
