Two Chinese nationals and a security officer were ambushed by four armed men at PAX Supermarket on Longdenville Main Road at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, during a violent robbery. All three victims were assaulted, struck multiple times about the head and face, sustaining injuries during the attack. The suspects escaped with TT$1,000 in cash (morning sales), a quantity of cigarettes, and a Sig Sauer firearm taken from the security officer's holster. The bandits fled in a white Nissan AD Wagon bearing registration number PCU 3089, heading east along Longdenville Main Road. Police later recovered the getaway vehicle in the car park of Chase Mart Supermarket in Chase Village.
