MorvantShirvan Aslop (26) Shot Dead in Hail of 30+ Gunshots

Second Caledonia Road and Eastern Main Road, opposite NP Quick Shop, Morvant, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

Shirvan Aslop, 26, was shot and killed at the corner of Second Caledonia Road and Eastern Main Road in Morvant late Sunday night, May 17, 2026, after 11 p.m. Gunmen opened fire on Aslop, unleashing more than 30 shots in a deadly ambush near the area opposite NP Quick Shop. The victim collapsed at the scene from the barrage of gunfire. Aslop died before emergency responders arrived. Police are investigating the motive and searching for the gunmen responsible for the attack.
